4K Meets 5K in Changing Food Landscapes in Schools

4K · Kuungana, Kufanya, Kusaidia Kenya (Young Farmers Clubs) & 5K · Kazi Kamilifu Kupitia Kilimo Kenya

Farm Pals

As Agriculture becomes a compulsory in primary school, SFK4S promotes Farm Pals. The aim of Farm Pals is to ensure learning between the 4K and the 5K. The 5k are the youth employed in these schools living around the school environment. The 5K engages with 4k pupils at the farm level through actual farming, mentorship Q&As and on farm training from the actual work on ground. One youth will be assigned 5/10 students depending on the value chain the 5K is engaged.
